06 wont start no power... no neutral light etc.. Please help. We are camping riding and shut off the 06 z400. Had lunch and now nothing. We did a running pull start but no rev... Would start then stall. Using key we get nothing. i check fuse is good. Tried jumping power across solenoid & it cranks but wont fire.

When I put the key in and turn it to the on position I get a check battery light and also a beeping sound. The rpm jumps to 30 and then back to o. There is no power to the tilt and trim either. Jun 2, 2011. #6. Re: Turning Key Does Nothing. Kill switch lanyard is not it. the motor will turn over with the kill switch disconnected it just won't start. You say the motor/battery was submerged. It most likely your battery connections or a fuse. Since it ran after you submerged it I doubt it's a fuse.

I don't have the schmatic for the 140 but would check all the fuses in the fuse box. that would not be the 'White wire' problem. on the top of my fuse box there is a 30A fuse for for several circuits including "F/P". the other thing to check is obviously the wiring connector on the top of the F/P. art.
