In the meantime, players have reported that starting Steam, disabling the internet, then loading the game bypasses the crashing issue. Internet can be reenabled afterwards. #1. Yes! I just had something like this happen to me today. Go to your Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\logs folder and open up game.log. Scroll to the bottom. You should see whatever event caused the crash. (Actually, the whole log may just be a spam of identical entries except for the attempt number.)
