I completely agree. I don't understand the hype at all. Nothing is unique. Holo toppers, holo glitters & unicorn skin toppers have all been done to death by so many indie brands (and usually for a cheaper price too) and the creme releases look so thick and awful to apply. Every once in a while they have a big bin with all the "old polish" for way less. I got a full sized Orly there for a little over $4 once. But the really good part is when you have coupons :) their coupons are great because they never expire and can be used on everything, and you can use 1 coupon per item.I only use pure acetone when doing cleanups so I can get clean lines. For the foil method, use cotton balls or pads and put your remover on them. Next, place it over the nail and make sure the entire nail is covered. Then, take a piece of foil and wrap the fingertip. Do each nail, and let them sit for 5-7 minutes. I've got to admit, I've fallen in love with this subreddit, and polishes and nail art in general. I've started spending my lunch breaks from work, across the road at the cosmetics counter looking and purchasing gorgeous shades, and pretty new fan-dangled nail trends (magnetic polishes, anyone?).

I see all (or all that I've seen) videos show this powder being used exclusively on gel nails. Mooncat is growing, slowly in amount. In comparison to ILNP their formula is thicker, and on myself dries faster ILNP. For me ILNP applies thinly, but typically requires a coat or two extra. I don't own any Mooncat that needs a third coat. Even Dragon Scales, which is a glittery flakie is a 2 coat for me.Magnetic polish, no wipe clear top, then aurora powder. And seal with topcoat again. I use a cheap oil around my fingers before applying acetone soaked cotton and my manicure clips to help mitigate the drying effect.
