Thermostat is not that old (about a year) so I replaced the PCV valve which was toast (and quite a pain in the arse). At idle or even low speeds (45-50) it’s fine. As noted JK's with with the 3.6 run hot.. fan does not usually kick in till 226-228.. so if under load, steep hill for example, temps in the 230's can be expected.. Best advise is to make sure you have the least amount of stuff you can blocking the grill. sink the winch down in frame, remove grill inserts etc.

If your temp gauge is showing that it is not over-heating, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Today I noticed 2 things. 1) the little rubber seal on my rear dana 35 pumpkin oozes oil when I press it. 2) the rear differential is really hot (can touch it for about 3 sec before pulling away).
