Is tradovate good.

This is true everywhere. Tradovate has pretty good loss limit tools though. Manage your risk appropriately. Futures can gap in value especially if they’re illiquid. Some contracts like softs or grains, etc can gap max for days at a time without letting you get out. I don’t watch these much but have seen it happen.Great integration with Tradingview. Good:-Tradovate back ui is good. I like the account reports with with bunch of P&L graphs and metrics .but sometimes the data is not recent they lag a bit. -In the settings very clearly organized for subscription and modification cme data and membership fees.

While Tradovate platform has some good features it ends up being an unnecessary expense. Just sim costs you $12.99 a month plus $4 for data. Once you start live you have the skimmed down version of the platform for free but still pay $4 for data and your commissions are $5.58RT for eMini. Tradovate is decent for beginners since it's pretty low barrier to entry. Just know that NinjaTrader costs a good amount for you to use all their services but the charting and scripting features it offers are very nice. Usually with most futures brokers you can pay a monthly/annual fee so that you pay lower or no commissions per trade.Sounds like for TradingView traders are better off using AMP versus Tradovate which integration has hiccups now and then. Nothing compares to NinjaTrader's extensive ecosystem of custom indicators and development tools. There are cheaper platforms (SierraCharts) there are better DOM's (Jigsaw Daytradr), but NinjaTrader's advantage is the programming. Particularly when it comes to writing things that rely on order flow or depth of market analysis. C# is a memory hog.
