2013 Foreman 500 fuel injected wont start but cranks. Hey new here and this is my first post. Been searching all over to try to find an answer. I went to start the bike the other day and it ran fine for a couple of minutes and then backfired and shut off. It would crank but not start again.Your EFI code (23) is for the O2 sensor heater malfunction. Check the connector for the O2 sensor for any moisture. The 4x4 code (97) is the fail safe relay is stuck on, again probably just moisture. Remove the tank cover and the group of relays are behind/under the ECM and I think the one all the way on the left is the fail safe relay.

A fuel filter will restrict fuel flow on these. Remove the filter and then see if the four wheeler will start. you can manually fill the filter with gas and then try it but sometimes atv's do not like in line filters, it causes vapor lock and the gas does not flow.also make sure it is flowing in the right direction.
