Re: Best overall handgun powder for reloading. I've been using Unique in 380, 9, 38, 40, and 45 until recently. I prefer Bullseye for the smaller powder charges. The 380 and 9mm get Bullseye currently. Unique would be my choice if I could only have 1 pistol powder though.I plan on reloading 38 special first, and then get into 9mm Luger loading after I get used to 38 special reloading. One of the instructors at a local range I go to swears by Unique powder for most pistol loads, especially for revolver cartridges like 38 special. While load data exists for 9mm Luger Unique loI use Bullseye for 380, 9mm, 357/38, 10mm, and 45 ACP. 2400 for rifle loads of 357, 44, and 45 Colt with jacketed bullets. Trail Boss for plinking lead bullets in 357, 44, and 45 Colt. Titegroup or Unique. I think Titegroup is cleaner burning and like they say on the bottle "A Little goes a long way".I have used VV n310 and n320 in both 9mm and 45. 310 is a bit too fast for my liking. It makes great bullseye 45 loads with a cast 185 or 200 SWC. Since I have gone 100% to 9mm I only use 320 at this point. It is a little safer than 310 and make a very soft load under 147s. I use zero's 147JHPs with 3.4 grains of 320.
