Just going with info off the net, it seems the new R1P's have much longer battery life, than the DPP. Delta Pro emitter is very hard to clean and fills up with lint. had to send mine back for cleaning and its about 50% as bad as I sent it with two range trips. R1Pro is covered by a lens so it doesnt collect junk.
