DayZ Standalone has hit all-time high player numbers, the first time since launch! Really amazing how Namalsk bumped the player count 25% at least. Such a fun map and has drawn a variety of people in with the survival elements. The smaller size, still big for most games, makes it really accessible. They stay within an area provided for them. I’ve been recently been told getting arms 3 and playing DayZ through that has lots of AI and missions that work far better than the DayZ stand alone AI mod. On our server they are kinda stupid AI but the admin said if they made them any “smarter” they would head shot you on site every time. Dayzsalauncher seems faster because it caches the server + modlist and it also has extra filtering. It requires the server owner to run an extra app too. Once in a while it's gets wonky and there is 0 support on the discord. Once you find a good server in either one, just favorite it and its all good.Tarkov and dayz are in similar youtube recommended circles and I noticed dayz looked like an actually good game all of a sudden so I resinstalled and decided to get back into it. DayZ helped them fund the development of their new engine and now they are 100% working as hard as they can on ArmA 4 which will have it all. In the end, if they deliver with ArmA4, It'll make sense.
