The biggest differences between the early 5.7's and 6.1's is the exhaust manifolds and cat. back (larger on the 6.1), and there is no EGR or MDS on the 6.1. Other than that, it's pretty much a plug and play. You'd also have a problem if your 5.7 is an 05, as the 6.1's started in 06 and had different coils and coil plugs.

You might be able to squeak by with a blower, but the 475 ft/lbs of the 392 exceeds that by 40%. Other than that, you'll need motor mounts, radiator, driveshaft, exhaust ...
