But I only use regular nail polish, not gels. I see all (or all that I've seen) videos show this powder being used exclusively on gel nails. I've tried it on my regular polish and while I can get it to kinda shine, when I topcoat it, it does some odd things. Depends on the type of polish. Magnetics always take me way longer so for regular non magnetics it takes me about 2.5 hours start to finish. If I used magnetic polish then it’s closer to 3.5-4 hours because I let the nails dry between every single coat.

Specifically with the nails, I looked at Reddit Laqueristas in the mornings to encourage myself. I also used nail strengthening polish, and painted my nails with coloured polish frequently to discourage chewing. I found that covering up the stubby bitten bits with colour stopped me from focusing on their irregularity and biting more.

I usually paint mine weekly, sometimes more often, because I like changing colors. Most brands I can usually get to last 4-5 days without chipping, but it also depends on what I'm doing with my hands.
