January 25, 2024. Report from the Dock. Ice thicknesses have improved quite a bit since last week’s cold front, and with nicer weather this week, there have been a lot more people fishing. Generally, ATVs, snowmobiles, and side by sides are now being used on lakes across the state.

Reports coming from Traders Bay, Stoney Point and the Whipholt area are reporting a bit better ice conditions in the 12-15 inch range. Walker Bay ice reports still range from 6-11 inches so only atv and side by side traffic is advised at this time.
