So instead of a $1000+ gun it is worth no more than an ordinary 12 gauge with pressed checkering from that era. He left all the guns to my uncle who was to redistribute them to the grandchildren. He decided I could have a pick between this and a single shot savage shotgun. As long as your m37's serial number is above 855,000 it will fit. If your 37 is 2 3/4" only, you can still use the 87 barrel but only with 2 3/4" shells. I always thought it was kind of weird that a gun called a "Featherlight" would have such a choke.
