Someone recently did chrony rifle testing with equal volume loads of 777 and RS (2 granulations of 777). The RS was easily 20% slower. Perhaps P would have only been 10-15% slower. I think that P is the closest to black powder, especially Swiss which is said to be 11% denser than regular Goex.

The newer CVA's are a little bit better quality than the older ones were but still let the old adage of "you get what you pay for" ring true, at least the ones that I have worked on. Some are really good shooters and others I have had a hard time keeping on paper at 50 yards. The Accura is far better than the wolf from the ones that I have handled.

The Wolf has a 24" barrel while the Optima has a 26" barrel.To me the difference in barrel length is a non-issue. For a few years, and many deers, i have been carrying a 23" barrel. It works good. However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf. I see a small difference but in all honesty, my Wolf with 777 is as deadly.

All have shot well from both rifles. The crush ribs definitely load easier, as advertised.The Nitrofire is less expensive than the accura MR-X but a little more than the optima. Just seems like a simple easy to use system and maybe more consistent since the fire sticks are all done at the factory and should all be exactly the same weights of powder in each one.
