If you load it to little you cause a high pressure problem, if you load it to much you cause a high pressure problem. Hodgdon does not even list a load with it. Personally I would not use Lil-gun in my 45-70.EsoxLucius. Accurate 1680 is very similar to the 4198s and Reloder 7 being on the "fast" side of powders for the 45-70. According burn rate charts, some have Accurate 1680 closer to the 4227s than the 4198s, while others have it closer to the 4198s than the 4227s.
