I have only stayed at the Elegance - just got back from our 3rd visit, and have heard good things about the Colonial as well! Though both resorts have an AO section, the Colonial leans more towards families as compared to the Majestic.They share the same general beach area so it won't be much different except that the CC has plenty of palapas and shade - not sure about Elegance. Rooms are a solid concrete construction and are quiet except if someone drags a chair across the floor above or below.
