Then he would make another order just to cancel again. He said he would cash app me a $50 tip just for the inconvenience. He asked me for my number, and I gave it to him. (they canceled) and you need to reorder. to send in again. but i would call and talk to someone. or the cust serv team canceled the order for some reason. and it could be any reason.That shopper might get deactivated or not, depending on how many jobs go like yours. You get a refund but you still have to go through the hassle of reordering. Instacart must be losing a ton of money fixing all these mistakes. A 1 star rating used to ensure that you would never see that shopper again but I don't know if that is still the case.

In these situations there really isn't a good option, they either give it to you as an OPPS, you pay for it yourself or you just don't take it. The customer gets charges for whatever is scanned by the cashier, so that isn't an issue. They're usually alot better about reimbursements under $10, if you feel the need.

Instacart would definitely be on the hook to pay the difference. Same thing if a store was to label an item with the wrong price, they have to honor it. I wouldn't be shocked if a shopper or two were deactivated as collateral damage though.
Its also not even a good order if it wasnt a scam.
