Xfinity is a scam. Recently the promotional offer on my current plan expired. Xfinity said they could increase my internet speeds for the same price I was currently paying (which would have been cheaper than continuing with the same level of service I had). The old saying sounds to good to be true, it probably is rang true.
Just got an email from online. communication. email@ comcast. net titled "Urgent Message from Comcast". It says an update is required and includes a button. Seems suspicious but it is very well done. None of the obvious signs of a scam beyond I've never gotten something like this from Xfinity before. is xFi a scam. I 'upgraded' to xfi on 11/22/22 by signing up online and picking up an xfinity router/modem at their store. While endeavoring to connect items to the new wifi on 11/27/22, the xfinity app advised me that the router xfinity had provided 5 days before was obsolete. The app offered to send a new router in 3-5 business days.
