#1 · Aug 22, 2012. Hey all i just purchased a KFX 50 for my son and ive had nothing but issues. At first it wouldnt idle unless on choke. So I cleaned the carb and jet, replaced an extreamly black/wet spark plug, and ajusted the idle screw back to stock settings which seemed to fix most of the problem.

The needle seat has a small screen and it was plugged only letting a small amout of fuel into the bowl. Most of the jets were clear but I still used music wire and air to clear any blockages.The problem started because I dont use it very much.
