The top action does everything. I think there's one situation where Kinetic Assault is the better of the two, and that's if you're running a melee build driven by item 80 at low player count; the initiative and versatile top action are just too good for the build. But even that build wants to go back and pick up Rock Slide anyway at level 5 or 6.

Cragheart is awesome because of the ability you mentioned and all the ones related to obstacles. You won't get that from any other class, but it shouldn't stop you from retiring your character. Every character has its own niche of usefulness. You can always go back and start a new cragheart down the line. 2.

I played a cragheart to level 9 and it pretty much went how you've imagined. Started out ranged, then became heavily obstacle focused, and ended up being a melee character. Creating obstacles for true damage and then pushing enemys into one with heaving swing, while destroying another adjacent for +3 made for some pretty high DPS. Currently my favorite is: Backup Ammunition (bottom) + Heaving Swing (bottom) + Massive Boulder (top) This combo works great when there are multiple enemy’s in range and adjacent to one another. Cragheart tends to be more than just one turn combo, since planning for multiple turns with nature generating and consuming cards will maximize ...For a purely melee cragheart I would recommend; Abilities: Avalanche, Opposing Strike, Crater, Rumbling Advance, Crushing Grasp, Forceful storm, Heavy Swing, Unstable upheaval, Rock Tunnel and Massive boulder.
