Last time i checked on GameRanger there were also many people playing the REAL Battlefront 2, not this fake Star Wars Battlefield. I'm guessing that they are still there, especially after all those news. Worth giving a try.

Most games don’t shut down their servers for years after. Depends on the server. Im in Japan currently and the Japan server is dead ime. I have to play on Oregon's server for games and depending on the time of day it can be a bit dead for some modes. Sadly I have to play with 130+ ping every day. Australia is my backup server and it's still got some games going on.
