EGW carries a red dot mount that fits the new Anaconda/Python and allows for Trijicon RMR/SRO as well as others. The sight fits perfectly and is the ideal solution for mounting a red dot as low as possible. I have one on my 6" Anaconda (SRO) and can track targets faster than I could with irons. Feb 2, 2010 · The King Cobra doesn't have the same interior works as the Python. It was truly manufactured more to a mass market, much the same as the S&W L frame has been marketed. The King Cobra is more of a duty, or field grade, revolver. You can expect to pay $600, and upward for a King Cobra. King cobra now that they make the python in a 3 inch is fairly similar, however I would say the KC is more of a carry gun, python is more of a range gun. It has better sights then the KC, and more then likely a solid frame. The Colt Trooper Mark III/Mark V/King Cobra is "different". It doesn't feel at all like a Python, but it doesn't feel like a S&W either. It has a distinct feel all it's own. It's an issue with all older .357 K frames, especially with hot 125 grain .357 ammo. The "new" model 66 eliminates this thin "flat" design. It is closest to the King Cobra at 33.5 ounces, compared to 28 ounces for the Colt. The S&W "L" frame is closer to the Python, at 40.5 ounces.

They weren't bad however, just not a Python. The 38spl Pythons never sold very well.Python is a larger frame. The python is semi custom hand built revolver the cobra is machine fitted. New python is a larger frame than the new KC. New python has a machined hammer and trigger (to say it's "semi custom" is absurdly suspect, I doubt there is any even close to mediocre tuning that goes into the guns as colt spent an insane amount ...The King Cobra has a much shorter (and stiffer!) double-action pull than the Python.
