Smolinksy is absolutely the best Calc 2 professor at LSU. There are 4 tests and a final, all of which are curved a hefty amount. There are 33 Webassign homeworks which are worth 24% of your grade so do all of them well, he drops only 3. The grading scale lowered so a 60 is a C-, on top of the curved tests.

Stats just isn't that easy, no matter the professor. However, she truly cares about her students, in and outside of the classroom.

Dr. Elaine is so awesome. She's secretly hilarious and loves her subject. She gives 7 pop quizzes, so at least skim the reading, and 5 short essays on reading (1-2 pages and super easy). It's lecture-based but she opens up for discussion a lot and likes hearing people's opinions.Would Take Again: No. Grade: A. Textbook: Yes. I was shocked to see Dr. Fletcher had a 4 on rate my professor. He was a funny guy but HATED when people came to class late. Get there on time for sure. Also, everytime the class didn't know something he would literally get mad at us and tell us we should know it. Honestly, she is a great professor. She is very passionate, eccentric, and cares about her students. But man is she one of the harshest graders I've ever had at LSU. Prepare to have 1-2 assignments a week for this course, and they'll take about 1-3 hours a piece. She will prepare you for your honors thesis process. Just be ready for a lot of work.
