The water temp was perfect. I don't remember the temp, but you could cool off from the 100-105 air temp. In June 11 - 16, 2004, the water temp was coolish. It took our breath away when we first jumped in and was warmer 2 inches from the top. The air temp was 98 - 100. So it felt good to be in the water. I love the water at Lake Powell.
