Every nursing program I have looked into requires different prerequisite courses. I can’t really afford to go to a bigger university. I signed up for Chamberlain University in Michigan,and now after reading some things about the program (BSN 3 years) here on Reddit and just googling reviews…. I am a little iffy about going.Passing used to be 77, now it’s 80. The logic is: Students who fall between 77-79.9 are the ones who typically won’t pass the NCLEX on the first pass. This will bring down the overall 1st pass rate, which is a factor on how a school is ranked. It’s just a way of cooking the books. All you need to worry about is doing the best you can. Then eventually do a rn-bsn bridge program. However i’ve also been slightly eyeing doing the Chamberlain university as I just talked to them the other day and since i’ve knocked out a vast majority of my pre reqs (like the sciences, english classes, a&p 1&2 etc) I could realistically knock out their absn program in 1.5-2 years at the longest.
