I was told, one of the main differences between the F250 Vs the F350 is the differential housing the axle on a F350 is larger because it houses a thicker axle Vs the F250 and thats why the towing capacity is higher on the F350, I thought it was because the F350 has an extra spring Vs the F250.

There is a 2007 F-350 that just came up for sale here locally and the door sticker has the axle as "4N". This doesn't jive with any of the documentation I've seen for axle decoder.
