Holdener did some 5.3 testing with the TFS 205 heads which have 2.00"/1.55" valves and almost a 3.900" bore chamber. Versus the TFS 215's with 2.04"/1.575" valves and a 3.950" bore chamber, and the 215's made more power. The 205's made 500 hp leaning on the engine and the 215's made 510 hp fairly easy.

You could sell them for $400 or so, get a set of Stage 1 LS6 CNC ported heads for around $1200. I just think that is fantastic bang for the buck.

The compression depends upon how much you plan to mill. The rule of thumb is 1cc per every .006" milled. So, if you mill .030", then you will have shaved 5cc off the combustion chamber. I'm running .030" milled LS3s on a 404 stroker. The factory LS3 chamber is 69.8cc.

The 2007 year had three 5.3L motors offered. The 2007 Classic (still a NBS) had the 5.3L with either the L59 (flexfuel version) or the LM7. The 862/706s are on the 99 and up 4.8/5.3L motors. The only difference about the L59 motor was the injectors. 2005 and up motors had the factory electric fans and electric TB.
